5th day in Salento:laghi Alimini

Ecco a voi la spiaggia laghi Alimini a nord di Otranto. Sabbia finissima bianca e nera circondata da dune sabbiose ricoperte dalla macchia mediterranea. All'interno si aprono due laghi un tempo comunicanti tra loro, da qui il nome di spiaggia dei laghi Alimini.

Here is the beach laghi Alimini (north of Otranto). Black and white fine sand with dunes covered by mediterranean maquis. There are two lakes (there was a time when they were interconnected), hence the name of the beach!

 and finally the typical bus that takes tourists from the parking to the beach

 (about two km of roads through the pine forest).
