Penaga Hotel, in the heart of George Town

Good morning, today I want to show you the hotel that welcomed us for three nights on the island of Penang, in the heart of George Town.
As soon as you enter in the Penaga hotel, you are truly impressed by the elegant and tastefully decorated lobby. The rooms are beautifully furnished with wood and highly sought-after antiques that create an almost opulent setting.
Originally a two-story terraced building, located in Georgetown until a nice couple bought this building and turned it into a forty-five-bedroom boutique hotel.
What makes this hotel worthy of a stay is that most of the renovation uses traditional architectural methods and original furniture. The timber used in the building project was recovered from demolished colonial buildings and even the tiles come from other very old buildings in Penang.
Hotel Penaga was the first heritage restoration project in Malaysia to receive a Gold Rating from the Green Building Index.
The restaurant overlooks the pool, and the dishes are really good. We had four meals here, always trying different things, and I was really satisfied. The Penaga hotel also has a spa area where you can relax and enjoy treatments and massages. Included in the price you will also have a tea break, an aperitif and a 10-minute massage, a very nice idea, right?
Another point in favor of this structure is certainly the position. We were able to move on foot to visit almost all areas, taking advantage of the free parking provided by the hotel.
If you are passing through Penang, which is absolutely recommended to visit at least 2/3 days, you should stay here, you will find all the possible comfort and will be the perfect starting point to explore the city.
