Sono arrivata in Sri Lanka il 24 gennaio, e ho deciso di non fermarmi a Colombo (la capitale) ma di spostarmi subito a nord, nella zona di Dambulla, per visitare il triangolo culturale.
Arika Villa è un tranquillo rifugio per le vacanze dove gli ospiti possono sentirsi come a casa. Circondata dalla natura e dal dolce richiamo degli uccelli, Arika è la cornice ideale per rilassarsi esplorando gli affascinanti siti storici del Triangolo Culturale. La nostra stanza aveva l'ingresso sulla piscina, e la terrazza sul fiume, e la sensazione di essere tutt'uno con la natura è stata davvero rilassante. Il ristorante che accoglie gli ospiti per tutti i pasti, è totalmente in vetro e affaccia sulla piscina. Indescrivibile la bellezza di fare colazione in un posto così. Arika infatti, è stata progettata con grande rispetto per la natura con un impatto minimo sull'ambiente naturale circostante.
Le nove camere ben arredate con balconi / verande con vista sul corso d'acqua, offrono molta privacy. Tutte le stanze sono molto ampie e completamente attrezzate con servizi moderni e offrono riposo e relax completi. Questo era il posto di cui avevo bisogno dopo 20 ore di viaggio, per abituarmi al fuso e per esplorare le meraviglie di Polonnaruwa e Dambulla.

Good morning beauties, I just came back from my long trip to Asia, but I wanted to start telling you about my various stages, and the hotels that welcomed me.
I arrived in Sri Lanka on January 24th, and I decided not to stop in Colombo (the capital) but to move immediately to the north, in the Dambulla area, to visit the cultural triangle.
Arika Villa is a peaceful holiday retreat where guests can feel at home. Surrounded by nature and the sweet call of the birds, Arika is the ideal setting to relax and explore the fascinating historical sites of the Cultural Triangle. Our room had the entrance in front of the pool, and the terrace on the river, and the feeling of being one with nature was really relaxing. The restaurant that welcomes guests for all meals, is totally in glass and overlooks the pool. Indescribable the beauty of having breakfast in such a place. Arika, in fact, has been designed with great respect for nature with minimal impact on the surrounding natural environment.
The nine well-appointed rooms with balconies / verandas overlooking the waterway offer plenty of privacy. All rooms are very spacious and fully equipped with modern facilities and offer complete rest and relaxation. This was the place I needed after 20 hours of travel, getting used to the time zone and exploring the wonders of Polonnaruwa and Dambulla.
