La prima tappa del nostro tour francese è stata Menton, che si trova poco dopo la frontiera. Un paese di circa trentamila abitanti, famosa per i suoi limoneti, e per il clima assai mite. Suggestivo passeggiare tra le sue stradine, incontrando casette dai colori pastello, botteghe di prodotti tipici, fino ad arrivare alla spiaggia, incorniciata dai monti che la proteggono dai venti freddi. Questa cittadina, forse ancora poco conosciuta, merita una visita. Si respira aria francese, pur continuando a sentir parlare l'italiano, è quindi molto bello vedere come queste due culture si mixano in un paese relativamente piccolo. Il relax ne fa da padrone, e le persone camminano spensierate godendosi il clima così piacevole. The first stop of our French tour was Menton, which is shortly after the italian border. A country of about thirty thousand inhabitants, famous for its lemons, and for the very mild climate. It is so pleasant to walk through its narrow streets, meeting pastel-colored houses, typical shops, arriving to the beach, framed by the mountains that protect it from the cold winds. This small town, maybe not yet well known, is worth a visit. You can breathe French air while still listening Italian language, so it is very nice to see how these two cultures are mixed in a relatively small country. Relaxation is a master, and people are walking around and enjoying the climate so pleasant. If you are heading to the heart of the french riviera coming from Italy, Menton is worth a visit.
