If you are going to Marrakech, and you are looking for a luxury resort, out of the confusion of the Medina I recommend the Amanjena Resort. An oasis of peace a few km from the city center, surrounded by dates palms and olive trees. An infinite park with trees, huge pool, and a restaurant absolutely to try. We spent half a day in this enchanting place, enjoying our time walking through the park, and having fun after lunch in the pool. The graceful Amanjena arches, stone courtyards and romantic fountains reflect the Moorish heritage of the region. Its colors between pink and emerald green are echoes to those of the Red City (Marrakech) and its royal heritage. The hours spent here are unforgettable.
Per il pranzo abbiamo scelto un antipasto a base di polipo arrosto, con una squisita salsa chili dolce e pesca caramellata. Come piatto principale io mi sono lasciata tentare dalle linguine ai funghi (più buone che in Italia) e Massy invece dalla sogliola grigliata con fagioli, riso nero e salsa romanesco.

For lunch we chose a roast octopus appetizer, with an exquisite sweet chili sauce and caramelized peach. As a main dish I have been tempted by the linguine with creamy mushrooms (better than in Italy) and Massy a grilled seabass with beans, black rice and Romanesco sauce.
Per il dessert invece, io ho scelto un cheesecake al cioccolato bianco con lamponi flambé, e Massy un tortino al cioccolato fondente e caramello, con olio di argan. Non saprei dirvi quale dei due ho preferito, perché erano entrambi squisiti.

About the dessert, I chose a white chocolate cheesecake, and Massy a dark chocolate cake with caramel, and argan oil. I would not know which of the two I preferred because they were both exquisite.
Amanjena è davvero un posto da mille e una notte, e nel mio prossimo viaggio a Marrakech tornerò sicuramente qui, dove ho lasciato un pezzo di cuore.

Amanjena is a fabulous place, and on my next trip to Marrakech I will definitely stay here, where I left a piece of my heart.
